Bilbao
9/28/25 Woke up this morning and it felt funny not having to walk, I looked out of the window of our accomodations after the sun came up, was a great day Looking out over the estuary in the bay of Biskay. We grabbed a quick coffee and got on the train for a 1.5 hour ride north to the city of Bilbao, Kim could barely keep her eyes open she was so tired We were fortunate enough to get a cheapish hotel right downtown, so we left our bags and headed out to explore. The one place I had to visit, was the Guggenheim Museum, mainly because I have tiny relationship with it. In 1997 when it first opened up to the public, it was this amazing art deco building designed by the famous architect, Frank Gerry, who was also famous for designing the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The museum opened with an exhibit called “the art of the motorcycle”, a very ambitious display of 100 of the worlds rarest and most influential motorcycle designs mostly of the past, two of those bikes chosen fro...
